Persian Culture
This week in English Class I have read many interesting stories that describe Persian culture. In the Rubaiyat and Manners of Kings I learned the respect they have for life. They believe in a god named Allah who greatly honor and respect in their every day lives. In the Rubaiyat I learned to live life with love. "Whether the Cup with sweet or bitter run, The Wine of Life keeps oozing drop by drop, The leaves of Life keep falling one by one." This shows that that life is short not matter how you life it so live it well. In the Manners of Kings I also learned to treat people the way you want to be treated. You have to respect others and they will respect you.

Noah Vs. Gligamesh Flood
In English 12 I have been reading The story of Noah and the flood and The Epic of Gligamesh. I have realized they are similar in many ways. Both Noah and Gilgamesh were warned about the comming of the flood and told to be ready for its coming. During the flood they also both send out birds for different varities to see if the flood was over or not. I believe these stories are so similar because of the fact that there actually was a flood.
